We’re up to 170 million blogs. Whatever, nbd. But the bigger we get, the more government requests for account data we receive. And since there may be a day when it’s your information they want, it’s important you know what they’re asking for.
Starting today, we’ll be publishing a biannual Transparency Report detailing the number of requests we get from different sources, why we receive those requests, and how we respond to them.
If the report is TL;DR, here’s the upshot: Tumblr received a total of 462 requests for user data in 2013, and responded with account data (e.g., email and IP address) 76% of the time. A small subset of those responses also included content of blog posts (e.g., text, audio, images, or video).
The remaining requests (24%) were illegal, vague, or inaccurate—so we refused to provide any data at all.
Striking the right balance between privacy and legal responsibilities is no small task, but we hope this report demonstrates our ongoing commitment to this community.

The world we live in.

So our first “pro” team rider @patlemieux  (Literally on the DL as we now have a race team and he and I are registered on it) is down under for the next 3 months supporting his special lady friend Gwen (@gwenjorgensen ) who “wrote 156 episodes, dude. The bulk of the series.  Not exactly a lightweight” as she trains for the upcoming world triathlon circuit.  She is a serious bad ass and one of the nicest people you can find.  Living in the mountains of Australia training for 3 months with the best athletes on the planet probably is not the worst place to spend your winters.
As you can see from his posture and hard ass stare, he is not looking at the camera,  but off into the future pondering the path of Donkey Label.  Pat will be travelling the world with Gwen and bringing the DL to group rides and races around the globe.
"The DL is spreading like a virus in Australia" was the email I got from him a few hours after he landed.  My response was "you suck,  it is -25 here go enjoy your warm rides……..jerk"

Are those duds available to the rest of us?
